BLADDER STONE

Sometimes renal stones may pass into the urinary bladder, or these may form de-novo inside the bladder. These stones may not pass out due to narrowing of urethral passage (urethral stricture) or enlarged prostate gland.

Cystolithotripsy

In this procedure , a thin cystoscope is passed through the natural urinary opening, into the bladder and the stone is broken down using laser or pneumatic, and stone fragments are then removed. The urinary catheter may be removed same day or the next day, and you may go back home the same day or the next day.
