Dr. Amit Bansal is among the top Urologists and Uro-surgeons in Delhi NCR. He completed his medical graduation (MBBS), from the prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College, with training at Lok Nayak and GB Pant Hospital. Further, he completed one year of internship in these hospitals, in all medical and surgical specialties. Having found his interest in surgical branch, he pursued his surgical training at University College of Medical Sciences and Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital.

Here he treated innumerable patients daily and operated on thousands of them over next three years of his training. Later he successfully treated numerous patients at ESI Hospital Jhilmil, Delhi, as a Senior resident for another year. He was among the top three candidates, all over India, to be selected for Super Specialty training in Urology and Genitourinary surgery at the coveted Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh. Over next three years, he was trained by the stalwarts in the field of urology.

The rigorous training made him an expert in successfully treating the diseases of kidney, bladder, prostate, and sexual organs. He polished his skills in all the urological procedures, open surgeries, endoscopy, laser surgeries, laparoscopy and robotics. He is a firm believer that every doctor should continuously keep on updating his knowledge and skills. Keeping this in mind, he joined one-year fellowship in Kidney transplant, Robotics and minimally invasive Urology and Uro-Oncology at Max super specialty hospital Saket, Delhi. He found a keen interest in reconstructive urology and sexual medicine. Consequently, he underwent extensive training in Genitourinary surgery (penile implants, Peyronies, penile curvature, urethral stricture management) and gender affirming surgery (sex change surgery), at the world renowned Belgrade centre for genital reconstructive surgery, Europe, under the mentoship of Dr. Miroslav Djorjevic (Top surgeon for reconstructive surgery in the world)

He has keen interest in research activities, and he has published numerous articles and papers in internationally acclaimed journals (paste a link for the PUBLICATIONS section here).

He is a member of Urological Society of India, North Zone USI, European Association of Urology.

He actively shares information about common urological problems with everyone through various social media platforms.

Currently he is senior consultant and heading urology at Apollo spectra hospital chirag enclave and apollo spectra hospital pusa road.
